Breaking Bad x Tha Crossroads (Spoilers)

Pretty much my two favorite things in the entire world are Tha Crossroads and Breaking Bad. DJ U-Neek coming together with Walter White is just too much awesome for me to handle at once.

The actual song used in the last scene was “Baby Blue” by Badfinger. Its already reached number 20 on iTunes and I’ve already listened to it like 5,000 times. It was a pretty phenomenal song to conclude the series. A song titled “Baby Blue” with the opening like “Well I guess I got what I deserved” could not fit this series any better. And its upbeat pace actually gave you a good feeling, like it was a happy ending. Which, in Breaking Bad terms, it strangely was. I mean nearly everybody is dead. Families destroyed. Lives ruined. Innocent people massacred. But Baby Blue comes on and Walter White is smiling in the meth lab and its like he’s the hero who saved the day and everyone is going home happy. Its completely fucking wacky. But its perfectly fitting. For a show where you were often rooting for the bad guy and rationalizing atrocious behavior, its appropriate that we’re tapping our feet nodding along to Baby Blue smiling, happy for the main character her was responsible for ruining dozens of lives.
